Thank U, Next has broken YouTube’s record for the most views on the first day of its release. The video also set the record for most-viewed video which used YouTube’s Premiere scheduling feature with 829,000 viewers watching simultaneously at its peak.
According to YouTube, the video was viewed by so many fans simultaneously that it briefly broke the video’s comments section as users experienced delays while posting their instant reaction. Grande fans sent over 516,000 chat messages during the video debut, also a record for YouTube Premieres.
