Expectations are quite low for England at the Russia 2018 world cup. The Three Lions are not even considered favourites although they seem to have a pretty solid squad.
Mourinho, however, does not subscribe to this school of thought. ‘The chosen one’ as he is fondly called by his fans, thinks that the England team have a pretty good chance going into this World Cup. He believes they have a mixture of youth and experience that could see them lift the trophy at the end of the competition.
According to goal.com here’s what Mourinho said to reporters:
“They have a good group of young but experienced players. All of them play in the most competitive competition in the world, the Premier League, all of them playing for the best teams with experience of playing in the Champions League, which is a high level of football, obviously. Yes, I think they can do it.”
Experts consider the favourites of the tournament to be Brazil, Spain, France and Germany.
