The star, 25, burst on to the music scene last year with the release of her debut single, Bodak Yellow and her talents have endeared her to fans.
The Grammy nominee who was also a 2018 iHeart Music award winner has since proved she is not just a one-hit wonder, having been praised across the board for the record, which dropped less than two weeks after she finally revealed its name and release date.
The album features collaborations with a number of big names in the hip-hop and R&B worlds, including Migos, Chance The Rapper, SZA and Kehlani.
The Guardian describes the album as “a magnificent debut that fuses vulnerability, sexual voraciousness, paranoia and party music”
And according to the Billboard, “is sonically engaging and stuffed with one-liners that will surely reverberate throughout conversation for some time.”
Clearly, Cardi B is here to stay and she knows it better than all of us. “They said by now that I’ll be finished, hard to tell/My little 15 minutes lasted long as hell” she had said on the SZA assisted I Do.
Well, they were dead wrong.
