The event tagged “Clash of Legends” organised in honour of the Nigerian first lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, by the The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), is to support of the work of the first lady’s foundation, Future Assured, reports Daily Trust.
Speaking on their involvement in the event, the UNICEF chief education officer, Terry Dumnian, said the UN organisation is supporting the project since sport can act as a uniting force to bring children together and impact on their lives.
Meanwhile, the director general of NCWD, Mary Ekpere Eta, said the Centre is recognising the important work the first lady is doing for the Nigerian child.
The match will be preceded by a gala night to be held on Friday, 9th March 2018.
