For Cameroon, the draw means that the Indomitable Lions cannot qualify for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia. The African champions Cameroon have just three points from four matches and can no longer finish top of Group B.
During Monday’s match, Nigeria took the lead after 30 minutes through Moses Simon but their hosts equalised with 15 minutes to go through a Vincent Aboubakar penalty.
In the first leg of the match played in Uyo in Nigeria, the Eagle beat the Lions with resounding 4 goals to Nil. They top the Group B table with 10 points with two matches to go.
