The incident happened on Sunday but the suspect was apprehended on Monday, the police says.
29-year-old Kehinde Ariyo admitted to the act but claimed it was the work of Satan.
The 85-year-old victim had admitted him to her house on Sunday night after he had pleaded for to be allowed to pass the night at her house in Ilesa Osun State. However, the suspect committed the dastardly sometime during the night and injured the lady in the process.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, who paraded the suspect said that Ariyo raped the aged woman until she passed out. Thankfully, she was later resuscitated at the hospital and is responding to treatment. Police also says the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded.
The suspected on his own has this to say:
“In the night, I went to the room where the woman slept and told her that I needed to tell her something. I told her to open her door and she did. I cannot remember other things. I just know that it was not more than two rounds and I know it was the work of Satan.”
Then unsurprisingly blamed it on alcohol as well (as they always do).
“Mama asked me to sleep on a couch in the passage. I was already drunk and did not know what happened afterwards,”
Look how she referred to him as a mama! What drivel?
