The Paris Nollywood Week Film Festival is an annual celebration of the best of Nollywood movies. During the festival, selected Nollywood pictures are showcased to Paris movie goers. It was first held in 2013 and is now in its 5th season. The Film Festival is organised by Okada Media, an organisation that is based in Paris, France. The festival aims to broaden the scope of audiences for Nollywood movies and to improve the distribution system for quality Nollywood movies.
This year’s event will hold from Thursday, May 11 to Sunday, May 14 at Cinema l’Arlequin in Paris. The highlight of the festival is the presentation of the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Angénieux. a leading manufacturer of high quality optic cinema lenses for the broadcast and film industries. Angénieux will donate optic cinema lenses to the winner of the Award to support their next movie shoots. Furthermore, there will be a premiere of the movie “Catch[dot]er“, directed by British-Nigerian filmmaker, Walter Taylaur, on Sunday 14 May at 20h30.

1. Dinner
