The African Hair Summit has appointed Kate Henshaw as the ambassadress for its 2017 edition holding on the 2nd and 3rd June 2017 in Abuja. The organisers of the summit announced the appointment today -Wednesday 19 April- on their Instagram page. The summit is a sensitization platform to educate people on the dangers of harmful hair products, to encourage home-grown healthy hair products and to promote the African hair heritage.
The theme of this year’s summit is “Growing the Africa hair industry through strategic thinking and safe practice”.
As you may be aware, there is an increased call for promoting and patronising locally made products, such as the Abia State made in Aba Campaign. This in a bid to promote small and medium scale businesses (SMEs) and to boost the Nigeria economy.
Meanwhile, the actress says she is “Super excited” and is honoured to be chosen as the ambassadress for the Summit.
Congratulations to Kate for winning the face of this noble initiative.
